File Folder Santa Card - Envelope Punch Board

Our technique for October was making a File Folder Card using the Envelope Punch Board.

Stamps:
  • Tag It (Stampin' Up! donates $3 from the sale of this set to Ronald McDonald House Charities)
  • Alhambra (Jumbo Wheel)
Colors:
  • Old Olive
  • Cherry Cobbler
  • Whisper White
  • Early Espresso
Tools / Supplies:
  • Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack
  • Chalk Talk Framelits & Big Shot
  • Envelope Punch Board
  • Scallop Trim Border Punch
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • Baker's Twine
  • Glue Dots & Dimensionals
We made a page for our Technique Journal too using Perfect Plum, Old Olive, and Elegant Eggplant...one of my favorite color combinations.

For the little technique book sample, we punched the file tab at the 2" mark instead of 3".  The background on the page was stamped with the Tape It and Secret Garden stamp sets.  Also, I always use My Digital Studio for the instructions so I can match the colors and add Stampin' Up! digital stamps.

Festive Season's Greetings Card

One of my October Stamp Night Projects using the Festive Flurry bundle (among other things of course).  I made this one while at a craft retreat inspired by another demo's card that I saw on our site.  I love the Woodgrain folder used on white card stock.
Stamps:
  • Joy to the World
  • Festive Flurry
Colors:
  • Naturals White
  • Crumb Cake (or was it Sahara Sand card base...I'll have to look and update)
  • Whisper White
  • Cherry Cobbler
Tools / Supplies:
  • Gold embossing powder / heat tool
  • Festive Flurry Framelits
  • Seam Binding Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler
  • Basic Jewels, Pearls
  • Woodgrain embossing folder / Big Shot
  • Oval Collection Framelits
  • Natural Composition Specialty paper
  • Glue Dots / Dimensionals
You can leave the seam binding ribbon smooth or crunch it up for a more vintage look.

Christmas Star Card - Embossed and Folded

The Christmas Star stamp is one of Stampin' Up!'s single stamp offerings.  I love how it looks heat embossed with the silver embossing powder, but it's even more beautiful when you fold the star so that it pops off the card.  I did a little video showing how.  Here's the link.

Stamp Sets:
  • Christmas Star
  • More Merry Messages
  • Everything Eleanor (swirl for envelope)
Colors:
  • Coastal Cabana
  • Smoky Slate
  • Whisper White
 Supplies / Tools:
  • Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Silver embossing powder / Heat Tool / VersaMark ink
  • Stampin' Pierce Mat
  • Simply Scored Stylus
  • Needlepoint Embossing Folder
  • White Baker's Twine
I also used the Cut & Ready Card Bases to save time cutting the parts for this card.  You get 20 in a package...perfect for making Christmas cards.  I hope you enjoy the video!

Another Thank You - Chevron Criss-Cross Card

I've been concentrating on craft shows so much that I just realized I haven't posted my October Stamp Night projects.  Here's the first one.  The other 2 are Christmas cards and I'll post them next.

Stamp Sets:
  • Another Thank You (Photopolymer)
  • Gorgeous Grunge
Colors:
  • Calypso Coral
  • Basic Gray
  • Crumb Cake
  • Pool Party
 Tools / Supplies:
  • Natural Trim
  • colored staples & stapler
  • Elegant Butterfly punch
  • Bitty Butterfly punch
  • Chevron Border punch
  • Epic Day This and That designer paper
I only have a few of these Photopolymer stamp sets, but I love this one with all the different "thank you" options.  The stamps don't grab the ink as well as our rubber stamps, so you just have to be okay with that look.
For the criss-cross Chevron punching, punch the end and flip the mat to punch the other side allowing them to overlap.  Use the punch upside down so you can see where you're punching.  Find the end of the mat looking through the punch and slide over a bit so you don't punch the edge on each side.  Raise the mat on dimensionals for a shadow/window effect.
