I thought I'd do a post just of the samples and fun in the hospitality room.

Here are some samples with the new In Colors.  The new colors are the panels with the flowers on them.  These were showcased by Brian King:

I posed for a photo with my friend Suzie Barnes, and her downline, Becky Roberts, photo bombed us...Becky, so funny!  So here are both photos (with and without Becky).

Stampin' Up! Cruise 2014 - Grand Vacation - Day 2

We were at sea all day on Monday, so we started the day with a Grand Gathering in the Amber Theatre.  All the corporate staff came out wearing "I'm Shelli's Favorite" T-shirts.  It was pretty funny and her hubby, Sterling, wore an "I AM Shelli's Favorite" T-shirt.  Shelli had an "I am Shelli" T-shirt.  Rich gave door prizes out to a few demonstrators for reciting the Statement of the Heart in their native language.  He teased the French demo that she could order pizza and he wouldn't know the difference.  We all laughed when we recognized "fromage" as she through out an order for cheese pizza.

 

The Hospitality Room was fun too.  Whenever I wasn't busy, I stopped in to visit with other demonstrators and, of course, get the prize of the day!

The ship had a DreamWorks channel, DreamWorks Parades, and DreamWorks characters hanging around the ship for photos.  We took several photos with Randi's favorites.

We went swimming during the day and after a formal dinner went to the Ice Games show in Studio B.  The show was amazing.  Our favorite parts were the female skater that worked with a suspended ring (bigger than a Hoola-Hoop) and this skit with a couple where the wife was "drunk".  The "drunk" skating was so funny with amazing tricks.

We almost missed this show because Randi was in line for the Flow Rider.  She did pretty good, but FYI you should wear a one piece suit...she had to do some quick adjusting before standing up.  We were scheduled to see the one before dinner, but thank goodness there was a second show for the Ice Games after dinner.

 

Stampin' Up! Cruise 2014 - Grand Vacation - Day 1

It was a long first day getting to the ship, but WOW, so worth the wait!  There was a banner and a "Hello" on every demonstrators cabin door.  Randi didn't stick around to wave as we departed...she had to get her swimsuit on and check out the pool deck as soon as we brought our luggage in...lol.  I waved at the people on shore and in small boats from the balcony as we left the coast of Florida.

We had a party and a show the very first night on the Boardwalk deck.  The show was called OceanAria and featured acrobats and divers.  Shelli welcomed us and we also took a huge group photo.  I'll have to scan it...I bought an 8x10 print of it.

When we got back to the cabin, we had our first pillow gift!  Lounge chair towels with a built in sleeve to fit over the back of the chair and a pocket on the side to hold stuff.  Also, an invitation to stop by the Hospitality Room to pick up a free Paper Pumpkin Kit.

 

I'll post some more photos tomorrow.  I'm not even unpacked yet!

Just Because...Another Way to Color in Line Art

You can never have enough ways to color in your line art stamps.  I used sponge daubers for this technique.  Just dab on the edge of the dauber when coloring in the smaller areas and don't be afraid to color outside the lines, because that gives it the soft look you want on this one.

I used this design for my 2nd April Stamp Night card and also as my Cruise SWAP (of course I realized I forgot to bring the Wisteria Wonder ink to the airport where I finished sponging them, so the SWAPs used Elegant Eggplant instead which was just a little darker).

Since I was going for a softer look, I stamped the images in Elegant Eggplant instead of black.  If you use black, I recommend using the Staz-On Jet Black since it is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock.
