Fall Craft Shows – Come by My Booth for Specials and Deals on Retired Sets

I’m looking forward to Craft Show season!  My first one is tomorrow (Saturday the 20^th).

Treat Window Envelope Tutorial – Perfectly Preserved

I made this cute little standing treat envelope for a home party earlier this month with some retired paper and the ladies just loved it.  So, I thought I’d do one for my Stamp Nights and share the instructions on my blog.

Here’s the one I designed for Stamp Night.  They both use the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and matching Cannery Set Framelits from the Holiday Catalog.

Here’s a photo of the treat envelope opened.  I used little Velcro squares so that it would be reusable.

You can get two of these from one sheet of 8 ½ x 11 cardstock.

Instructions:
Cut cardstock to 10 ¾ x 3.
Score at 4”, 5”, 9”, and 9 ¼”.
Fold at all creases and use bone folder for crisp edges.
Shorten the top flap by using border punch of your choice.
Punch window using jar from Cannery Set Framelits and the Big Shot leaving room for jar lid to overhang  (you can “measure” where to cut window by placing Framelit on cardstock and then folding flap over to test it).
Stamp jar lid and punch out on the Big Shot with the lid Framelit.
Decorate top flap and attach jar lid with a Dimensional.
Attach small cello bag filled with candy to top of inside front with a glue dot on each side.
The extra cello (if any) can just be folded over to keep the candy fresher.
Attach Velcro to flap and close to let the other side of the Velcro stick in the appropriate spot on the front.

Howl-o-ween Printer’s Tray Project – Witches and Goblins and Spooks Oh My!

Stampin’ Up! gave demonstrators this great Halloween printer’s tray project for a recruiting promotion in August and part of September.  So, I invited all my downlines that earned the free project over to my house on Tuesday night so we could make the projects together…more fun that way.  Since we had one extra project, we even had one lucky guest too!  There were seven of us…two couldn’t make it.  Here’s my completed project (supply list below):

 I pretty much got everything finished at the party except adding the ghost pumpkin and the broom.  The broom is Early Espresso Core’dinations paper wrapped around a wooden skewer with More Mustard fringed cardstock for the straw.  I still might add a silver crescent moon behind the bats, but I’m pretty happy with it as is.  

Stampin’ Up! provided all the paper backgrounds and flags on one sheet that we cut out…basically, you could create something similar in My Digital Studio or just cut paper from the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.  Of Course, I changed it up a little from the layout provided…I have to put my own spin on it, don’t I!  I also heat embossed the items stamped in black – you get better images that way since we are stamping on color, and I love the shine.  {TIP:  For the rosettes, use hot glue in the center…it just holds together better!}
