I had a fun, small get together on Sunday to make the Witching Decor Project. When my get together is smaller, I sit and make the project too...'cause you know I always have spare kits. I already made one of these witch hats at my downline retreat in August, so now I have 2. That's exciting because now I can bring one to work to decorate my office!
I can't wait for my next class. It's one of my most popular ones...my Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack class on Sunday, October 25th. I will have a second one of these in November with different designs on the 15th.
Happy Stampin'

Create a Fright! - Frightful Wreath Kit & Class
I love these wreaths! I changed mine a little from the directions in the kit. I love using purples for Halloween, so I just had to switch out some of the orange with Blackberry Bliss, my current favorite purple...plus it matches the spider this way!
I'm having a class to make these on Sunday, September 28th at 2pm. The class cost is just the price of the kit ($32.10 with ship/tax). I'm ordering them this Wednesday. If you're in North Dallas area and want to come, just RSVP here by noon on Wednesday.
Here's a close up of the wreath:

Halloween Treat Bags - My Paper Pumpkin Style
Wednesday, the 10th is the last day to sign up for My Paper Pumpkin kits at half off for your first 2 months. This is for new subscribers only. Don't wait...click this link now (you know you'll forget to do it later). Use promo code HALFOFF2 to get your first 2 months for half off (just $9.98 a month)! Here's a sneak peek at the treat bags in the September kit.
It comes with 3 striped burlap bags and 3 polka dot burlap bags and an awesome Halloween stamp set. I can't remember how many stamps, but several greetings and several little ones like a crow, a bat, a skull, and a tree (I think). I saw the set at convention when I made my sample above, but didn't take a photo of the set (what was I thinking?).
Let me know if you have any trouble signing up. I don't want anyone to miss out on this amazingly cute kit.

Beach House & Halloween Toil & Trouble Card
I'm enjoying a little time off at the beach. My dad rented a beach house for our side of the family. He has done it almost every year for the last 10 years or so. I have a deep love for the ocean since I grew up going on ocean vacations (or should I say adventures) on our family's 24 foot sailboat. I haven't been sailing in quite a while though.
I do want to post my August Stamp Night projects. I'm spending a little time in the evenings to catch up on that. Here's the first one:

Stampin' Up! Convention 2013 - Some More Projects
Here are some of Sara's projects from convention. I loved her presentation and especially her Halloween frame. I wasn't fast enough to get photos in the gathering place, but luckily my downline, Laura, managed to get these!
Sara was showcasing the kits from the Holiday Catalog:
The canvas paper banners are very sturdy with big grommets already done for you. Also, they showed us that you only spray briefly to get the color when using the stencils (less is more...don't soak the canvas).
Laura and Me during General Session or Awards Night on Friday.

Howl-o-ween Printer’s Tray Project – Witches and Goblins and Spooks Oh My!
I pretty much got everything finished at the party except adding the ghost pumpkin and the broom. The broom is Early Espresso Core’dinations paper wrapped around a wooden skewer with More Mustard fringed cardstock for the straw. I still might add a silver crescent moon behind the bats, but I’m pretty happy with it as is.
Stampin’ Up! provided all the paper backgrounds and flags on one sheet that we cut out…basically, you could create something similar in My Digital Studio or just cut paper from the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper. Of Course, I changed it up a little from the layout provided…I have to put my own spin on it, don’t I! I also heat embossed the items stamped in black – you get better images that way since we are stamping on color, and I love the shine. {TIP: For the rosettes, use hot glue in the center…it just holds together better!}
Supplies:
Toxic Treats stamp set
Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper
Images from the Toxic Framable Digital Designer Template (Digital Download)
Core’dinations Card Stock – Early Espresso, Sanding Block & Skewer

Stampin’ Dazzle Marker – Silver

Stampin’ Up! Convention 2012 – Spooktacular Halloween Project!
During one of the sessions, they announced an August promotion for new demonstrators signing up as well as for the demonstrator they signed up with. Both will receive the following Howl-o-ween Printer’s Tray project kit FREE!
The kit contains everything you need to make the project except ink.
If you are local to the Dallas area, we can pick out a night to make the project together. So fun! This is only available in August.
The convention theme was “i am…” this year, and they asked us to complete that for ourselves. I wanted to answer using something to try to sum up my Stampin’ Up! experience. I thought about it for a while and decided on “i am…having the time of my life”. Read all about being a demo and how to sign up by clicking the “Join My Team” link which will take you to my SU! site. If you have any questions, let me know.
I can’t wait to make one of these projects…isn’t it boo-tiful!

Stampin' Up! Convention 2012 - Witches & Wands
Friday started with Shannon West doing Halloween projects in a great witch costume. I tried to get a photo, but we were far away.
She did Fall projects too.
I also forgot to mention that the Manager's Reception coming in January will be in Orlando at Universal Studios Harry Potter World. They also gave out 5 wands after they announced it. I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan so this will probably be my favorite Manager's Reception ever!!!
We took lots of photos of display boards after lunch Friday and had our optional fun project classes Friday night.
More tomorrow...
