I've got lots of Christmas cards to upload.  October was super busy for me with craft shows and my daughter's annual Halloween party, so I'm trying to catch up...stay tuned.  I'm also looking forward to my kit class on Sunday: The Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit.

Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit - My Journal Project

I made a journal out of my Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit similar to the one Sara showed us at convention.  I got the bundle that included the Thankful stamp.  Here's how mine turned out.  I only added a Champagne Glimmer leaf, 2 jump rings, some ribbon, and a few buttons.

The front and back covers are made from the chipboard backing that the kit came with.

Here are the inside pockets.  I alternated which way I folded the pockets.  I just need to add some photos and titles or names with my Chalk Marker that came with the kit.

I also stamped on some of the pages with the Magnificent Maple stamp and sponged the edges of everything with Chocolate Chip ink.  Get yours by clicking the Shop Now button in the margin of my blog or by clicking on the gift bag at the top of my blog.

Magnificent Maple - Crayon Rubbed Embossing Technique

My August Stamp Night card celebrating Fall also demonstrates my technique for this month.

I love how this turned out.  You get the best results by rubbing the crayon firmly and going over it several times.  Here's the instructions for the technique written out in my Technique Journal page.

Stampin' Up! Convention 2013 - Some More Projects

Here are some of Sara's projects from convention.  I loved her presentation and especially her Halloween frame.  I wasn't fast enough to get photos in the gathering place, but luckily my downline, Laura, managed to get these!

Sara was showcasing the kits from the Holiday Catalog:

She used the Tablescape to make a scrapbook of her family...one page for each person and decorated the cardboard it came in for the front and back covers (some of the pages are under the banner in the first photo).

The canvas paper banners are very sturdy with big grommets already done for you.  Also, they showed us that you only spray briefly to get the color when using the stencils (less is more...don't soak the canvas).
